Do you have any tips for Windows users who are switching to the Mac? They need our help. Equivalents, shortcuts, etc.

Ctrl plus the mouse click is your equivalent to the right click. Your CD Drive does exist its just well hidden ( Apple design really well ) You do have a Network connection on the laptop, yes the cable will fit, its not non standard. If you absolutely cannot live without ANOther Windows Application then install Parallels and a copy of Windows. Congratulations you now have a virtual Machine that is a file which can be copied and backed up.

You can get MS Office for a Mac but considering NeoOffice and other apps can do the job of writting text , do you really need it.

No .. there is not need to go out and buy all the usual AntiVirus and Spam Blocking and Spyware blocking tools, your a Mac user now , your Time is your own

No tips, no equivalents...just enjoy and be more productive. And since they've already switched to Mac, they no longer need help.

Many things are 'packages' (like a folder) instead of just single files (they just look like files to be user-friendly), these can be expanded by right clicking and selecting 'show package contents' (eg. Applications, EyeTV recordings, many save formats in iLife).

Command + Left arrow = Home Key , Command + Right arrow= End key, Command + Shift + Left arrow = Shift + Home, Command + Shift + Right arrow = Shift + End

I had a Windows friend who almost sold his Mac because he didn't know how to manipulate the cursor on the Mac.

As you know apple only has 1 click mouse. If you want to show properties, just point 2 fingers on the pad mouse and click.
