Seriously. How many of you actually respond to threads in Jaiku?

I do...and most of the people I have in my contacts do. And the threads often go way OT, which is actually quite nice. It's a sort of asynchronous IRC.
Okay, so if I twittered my Jaikus... you're thinking I'd get more threaded responses? I suppose if I could look forward to a specific amount of direct responses from Jaiku, it'd be worth considering...
You have to understand that more people follow me there than here.
Many of the people in my contacts are fairly active responders. Some more than others. But a quick count of my activity in the last 24 hours reveals 3 posts and 20 comments. And I'm sure there are many people posting more than I.
I respond to stuff a fair bit. However, I never respond to Twitter posts imported into Jaiku as there is no point. People that just set up a Jaiku account, point it at their Twitter account and then abandon their Jaiku account (of which there are a fair few) I don't even bother adding.
Bottom line is: if you want people to be active and participate in your threads here, then you also need to be active and participate here.
The first thing I do when I add a new contact is unsubscribe from their twitter feed - without question. Then I likely unsubscribe to most of their other feeds.
With regards to Jaiku responses, if you post interesting stuff you'll get responses. Or if you post about sex, beer or the iPhone. Then you'll get tons of responses.

If there was more going on on Jaiku then there'd be more replies.

There's plenty going on. Right now we're discussing the morbid effects of capitalism on cities, for example.

Good to have you here actively rather than just as a feed. I think more people will reply to your posts now ...

Replying fast because I missed the last one of these threads that took a life of its own :P
